Fog

Medium: Oil on canvas
Size: 12 × 24 cm
Year: 2024

In Olga Trikhleb's work "Fog" (2024), the vertical canvas format measuring 12 by 24 centimeters organically structures a tripartite spatial division of the landscape. The lower zone is rendered in muted green tones with delicate vertical brushstrokes indicating grass cover. The middle ground dissolves into a blurred haze of mauve and pinkish hues, through which the silhouettes of distant trees emerge. The upper part of the composition is occupied by a light sky with a soft yellow disc of the sun, barely discernible through the veil of the atmosphere. The oil painting demonstrates a smooth texture with delicately smoothed tonal transitions. The color palette is built on nuanced combinations of pastel shades, creating a sense of morning freshness and silence.
